SAPURA SNEAK THRU AS SUNDAY 2030 TAKE A STROLL

Sapura survived a spirited comeback from UniKL to make the semi finals of the TNB Cup as they edged their opponents 3-2 on the night and 6-4 on aggregate at the National Hockey stadium.
And Sunday 2-30 also made it through to the President Cup semis although they were held to a 1-1 draw as their first leg emphatic win of 5-2 saw them safely through on a 6-3 aggregate.
With thunderstorm looming, the start of both the matches was delayed but once it got underway, the Sapura v UniKL tie kept the spectators at the edge of trheir seats.
TNB ZAP TERENGGANU AS MBI MAKE SEMIS AS WELL
Tenaga Nasional Berhad were forced to dig deep by Terengganu HT before romping home with a 5-1 win in the second leg quarterfinals of the TNB Cup to make the semifinals on an 8-3 aggregate. And in the Presidents Cup, Ipoh City Council did enough by holding Uniten KPT to a 1-1 draw to make the semis on a 4-3 aggregate and will take on TNB Thunderbolts in the first leg next Friday.

TNB STRUGGLE
Tenaga Nasional Berhad used the oldest trick in the book, that ace striker Faisal Saari was doubtful for their quarterfinal tie against Terengganu HT in the TNB Cup. But Faisal showed no effects of the injury to score two goals to give TNB a slight 3-2 edge in the match at the National Hockey stadium. Infact the two goals has now put him within a goal of the leading scorers, Mohd Noor Faeez Ibrahim (UniKL) and Khasif Ali ( Sapura).
SAPURA EDGE UNIKL, SUNDAY 2030 ON A ROLL
Sapura took a slim lead in the first leg of the quarterfinal match against UniKL in the TNB Cup while Sunday 2030 romped to an effortless win over SSTMI for the President's Cup at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil. Sapura edged UniKL 3-2 in an exciting tie that saw the MHL's top scorers, Mohd Noor Faeez Ibrahim of UniKL and Khasif Ali of Sapura continue their neck to neck battle as both scored a brace to take their tally to 15.
